Website Hosting - I offer this service. Pop me an email. You'll need this to have your own website and allow people to use it. The hosting account usually includes space for files you put on your site and bandwidth for visitors using your website. Getting started, this shouldn't be more than $20 / mth
FTP - FileZilla. You'll need this when working on your website. You'll use it to copy files from your computer to your website hosting account so that they are on your website. Its easy to use and Free! Download it now
Product Creation : eBooks - OpenOffice. It's a great full function office suite of products that evan allow you to convert to PDF (a standard readable internet format). It's power-packed and Free! Get it now
eMail Marketing - iContact. They've always been reliable for me. The basic package is only $19.00/mth. Get an account, it's essential for building your business. You'll use these services to create lists, do relationship building and send offers of products that will help your market.
Payment Processing - PayPal. Nearly everyone online knows about Paypal. It's quick, easy and free (well they do charge a small fee per transaction, but there are no minumum's). Get an account when you are ready to start excepting money from your site.
Market Research - Google Adwords! Their Keyword tool has tons of useful information for investigating markets and it is Free. You can use a limited version of the tool even if you don't have an Adwords account yet. As of 2011 you need to sign in to get Cost Per Click (CPC) information. Get an account, you'll need it anyway.
